Rocket x Audi

Rocket x Audi espresso machine and grinder

BORN FROM A SHARED VISION

Rocket and Audi joined forces to develop an espresso machine that combines Rocket’s experience in prosumer-grade coffee technology with Audi’s distinctive, brand-defining design language.

Designed to be paired with the specially developed Spluga grinder, ROCKET X AUDI creates a cohesive coffee system defined by a shared approach to design, proportion and detail.

Design meets precision

Based on the Rocket Bicocca portafilter machine, ROCKET X AUDI was developed through a close collaboration between the renowned design studio Valerio Cometti + V12Design and the Audi Design Team.

The result is a distinctive interpretation of the espresso machine, defined by a clear and highly considered design language.

Heritage and philosophy

Drawing inspiration from the design icon Audi TT, the machine is characterised by clean surfaces, restrained lines and a deliberately uncompromising approach to form. Every transition between surfaces has been carefully resolved, with each radius precisely defined to create a continuous and cohesive expression.

Form and materials

Every element of ROCKET X AUDI has been considered as part of a coherent design system, where geometry, material and function are closely integrated. Clean lines meet sculpted curves, while matt Aluminum contrasts with deep black surfaces to create precise yet restrained visual language.

The side panels rise progressively towards the rear, introducing a dynamic silhouette while creating a natural, elegant boundary for the coffee cups. Their sculpted geometry gives the machine a sense of movement and proportion, while maintaining the solid, monolithic character of the main housing.

At the base, circular aluminium feet lift the machine visually from the surface below, creating an almost floating appearance.

A new expression of the coffee machine, shaped by two worlds of design.

The brewing unit has been developed to follow the geometry of the body, integrating seamlessly into the main housing rather than appearing as a separate element.

Against this restrained aluminum architecture, the handle and rotary controls are finished in glossy black, creating precise visual accents and adding depth to the composition.

A further expression of this approach is the integrated 3.5-inch touch display, positioned discreetly within the upper section of the brewing unit. Its integration preserves the clarity of the front elevation while introducing a contemporary interface for precise and intuitive control.

Prosumer technology

ROCKET X AUDI is engineered around dual stainless-steel boilers, a rotary pump and an integrated 3.5-inch touchscreen interface.
Each element is designed to work in precise coordination, combining reliable mechanical performance with intuitive digital control.

Temperature stability

An electrically heated brewing group with PID temperature control maintains a consistent set temperature throughout operation. By minimising heat loss through the group body, the system provides greater thermal stability and repeatable extraction, from the first espresso of the day to the last.
